Integrated Algebra A & B

Integrated Algebra is offered as a two-year Algebra 1 program for students who need increased time for mastering Algebra 1.

Placement in Integrated Algebra will be determined by a specific criteria, including SAT 9 Scores, grades, ACTAAP scores, positive discipline, attendance and teacher recommendation. Integrated Algebra A consists of two 1-semester modules, A & B. Integrated Algebra B consists of two 1 semester modules, C & D. Mastery of the material is required in each module before proceeding to the next one.

This course counts as one math unit out of four required for the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship. Selection of this course will eliminate a student’s eligibility for the scholarship without alternate planning, such as a correspondence course or advanced summer math course. Any 9th grade Integrated Algebra student who fails module A or module B should complete that module in summer school. Failure to do so may require that the student attend the Learning Center or “Nite School” at SHS to complete module A or B. Modules A and B may not be offered during the regular school day at Springdale High School. These two modules are prerequisites for enrollment in modules C and D.
