PARKING

2007-2008

   To park on Springdale High School parking lots you must purchase a Student Parking Permit.  Permits may be obtained through the main office for $15.00.     You must provide the following information: 

1) State Registration Slip with correct license  number

(2) Driver's license

(3) Parent signature form

   Students are allowed only one active hang tag per school year.

Rules & Regulations:     

1. Parking Permits/hangtags must be displayed on the inside rearview mirror.  Permits displayed in any other location will render the permit invalid.  (There will be special arrangements for motorcycles.)

2. Report lost or stolen permits immediately to the office. Depending on circumstances, students will be permitted to purchase another permit for the price of $15.00. 

3. Vehicles displaying lost, counterfeit, or stolen permits will be towed at owner's expense and the student will be banned from parking on SHS campus. Individuals who produce counterfeit decals may face disciplinary action.

4. Parking is permitted only in designated spaces.  Parking in fire lanes, on the grass, etc. will result in towing at owner's expense and/ or loss of parking privileges.

5. Speeding or unsafe driving while on campus may result in loss of parking privileges.

Students may not use vehicles as lockers.  Students may not go to parking lots during the school day unless officially checked out in the attendance office or if they are leaving and have appropriate documentation

Parking Sanctions:     

With Permit:

1st Violation               Warning

2nd Violation              In-School Suspension (ISS)/or Towing

3rd Violation               Out-of-School Suspension (OSS)/or Towing

4th Violation               Long Term Suspension or Expulsion, & Loss of                                            Parking Privileges

Without Permit:

1st Violation               Warning

2nd Violation              Towing of Vehicle and/or Suspension

3rd Violation               Long Term Suspension or Expulsion, and Towing

NOTE: 

   Warnings will not be written for students who park in faculty reserved parking, handicapped spaces, or non-parking areas (firelanes, unmarked areas, on the grass, etc.).  Students can expect to be towed per offense.  Additional school          sanctions may apply.

   Daily parking will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Purchasing a permit does not guarantee available parking spaces.
