Parent/Volunteer Information

 

 

Parents:

  •  Adult volunteers are always welcome to assist in the library media center.
  •  Work in the library media center is highly varied, ranging from advanced work with computer hardware and software; to working with the public; to processing library materials; to general maintenance of the library media center.
  •  Regardless of your skills or interest, there is something that you can do.
  •  If you would like to be a volunteer please contact Sherry Messmer, at 750-8832.

 

Student Volunteers:

  •  Community Service Library Credit (1/2 credit per semester).
  •  Students enrolled in the Student Library Assistant Community Service Program may earn credit for working in the library media center.
  •  The library media center uses student assistants to help support  the everyday operation of the library media center.
  •  Assistants help at the circulation desk, file and sort materials, assist with computers and other equipment, help with displays, and other special tasks invovling the students and other SHS staff.
