AP Biology


AP Biology is a college level course for students planning to major in biological sciences or for those with a genuine interest in biology. Labs are scheduled twice weekly including such experiences as Drosophila genetics, cell respiration, mapping of restriction sites on plasmid DNA, E. coli transformation, transpiration, enzyme catalysis, bacteriological techniques, and many more. Students are encouraged to take the AP exam for college credit and/or advanced placement in their college degree program.
