AP Physics


Five areas are studied - kinetic theory and thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, waves and optics, modern physics, and mechanics. Students may obtain credit or appropriate placement in participating colleges by scoring sufficiently high on the national Advanced Placement exam. This course is for students who plan careers in engineering, physics, chemistry, or medicine. Students are encouraged to take the AP exam for college credit and/or advanced placement in their college degree program.
