History of Western Civilization I & II
(Concurrent Credit)

I- A survey of Western development from the prehistoric period to 1650. Emphasis is on cultural, scientific, religious, and political contributions of the ancient, medieval and early modern civilizations to 1650.

II- A survey of Western development from 1650 to the present. Emphasis is on the cultural, scientific, religious, and poloitical development of modern Western civilization.

Prerequisite: 19 in reading on ACT or pass the COMPASS.
